Privacy - Web App

All calculations and check data are processed and stored locally in your browser. If you create a check snapshot, the data is saved to a database so it can be retrieved from the share link. You can request removal of any check snapshots by sending an email with the check ID.

Umami is used for anonymous analytics. It does not collect personally identifiable information and anonymizes all data. Users cannot be identified and are never tracked across websites.

The bug report form may collect optional name and email if you choose to provide them.

Privacy — Mobile App

Easy Check Splitter is available on iOS and Android. This policy applies to both versions of the app.

On-device data. All calculations and check data are processed and stored locally on your device using your device's storage. No account is required, and the app does not collect personal information for its core functionality.

Shared check snapshots. If you create a check snapshot from the app, the check data is saved to a database so it can be retrieved from the share link — the same as the web app. You can request removal of any check snapshot by sending an email with the check ID.

Receipt scanning. The optional receipt-scanning feature uses on-device text recognition to read receipts you photograph or select from your photo library. Receipt images and the recognized text are processed entirely on your device and are not uploaded to any server or shared with any third party. Camera and photo access are used only for this feature.

In-app purchases. The optional one-time "Pro" upgrade is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through a third-party purchase-infrastructure provider. To deliver and restore your purchase, that provider processes transaction details and an anonymous, app-generated identifier (and may process a platform-provided device identifier). This information is used solely to provide and restore your purchase — not for advertising or cross-app tracking. For details, see the purchase provider's privacy policy.

No tracking or advertising. The app does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. It does not collect your location or use identifiers to track you across apps or websites.
