Tips, tricks, and guides to make splitting the bill easier
Starting from version 1.2, all changes are documented here. Previous versions' changes are not reflected in this changelog.
Tip: Anything with an underline is editable, just click to edit.
Add friends — Add each person who joined the meal.
Enter items — Add each item's name and price from the bill, or scan a receipt to add items automatically.
Assign items — Check the box next to each friend's name under the items they ate. Items can be shared with multiple friends.
Add fees, discounts, tax & tip — Add any surcharges, delivery fees, discounts, tax, and tip at the bottom. Split fees and discounts evenly or relative to items consumed. Make sure the total matches your check. Anything in red still needs attention.
Done! You'll see how much each friend owes, including a fair split of taxes and fees based on what they ordered.

For best results, crop to only the item list before processing, either with Crop image below, or before selecting the image. Scanning the full receipt (logos, headers, totals) often gives poor or wrong results.

All calculations and data are stored and processed locally in your browser. If you create a snapshot, the data is saved to a database so it can be retrieved from the share link. You can request removal of any check snapshots by sending an email with the check id.
